SHEET P-04 — DATA SOURCES

Our data stack, in the open.

Every score, probability and chart on GiottoO traces back to a named source. This page lists exactly what we ingest, where it comes from, and — just as important — which feeds are real-time and which are delayed.

Educational research only. Not financial advice.

What's inside

Market prices

Equity and ETF quotes and bars powering charts, scanners and trade analysis.

Options chains

Full chains with strikes, expirations, bid/ask, volume and open interest.

Greeks

Delta, gamma, theta, vega and rho computed per contract from chain snapshots.

Implied volatility

Per-contract and per-ticker IV, IV rank and percentile against trailing history.

Historical volatility

Realized vol over multiple windows — the denominator in every IV/HV richness check.

News

Ticker-tagged headlines aggregated from public feeds across global sources.

Earnings

Earnings calendars, report timing and historical results for event-risk awareness.

Macro events

Rate decisions, CPI, employment and other releases that set the vol regime.

Analyst ratings

Consensus estimates and revision trends as fundamental context.

Economic calendar

Scheduled releases with timing, so event risk is visible before entry.

SEC filings

10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other filings straight from EDGAR.

Insider transactions

Form 4 buys and sells by officers and directors — post-filing, public record.

Institutional holdings

13F positioning of large managers, quarterly and lagged by design.

Delayed data disclosure

Not everything on GiottoO is real-time, and we would rather say so plainly than let you assume otherwise. Here is how each layer of the stack behaves:

  • Market prices and options chains (Alpaca): free-tier surfaces may show delayed quotes (typically 15 minutes); premium tiers refresh faster. Every quote on the site carries its timestamp.
  • Greeks, implied and historical volatility: computed in-house from chain snapshots — as fresh as the underlying chain data, never fresher.
  • SEC EDGAR filings and insider transactions: available after filing by design. This is post-event, public information — useful context, never an early signal.
  • Macro and energy series (FRED, EIA): published on official statistical schedules; some series lag the underlying period by days to weeks.
  • News, earnings and fundamentals: polled on scheduled intervals, not streamed. Headlines can appear minutes after the primary wire.

If a decision depends on up-to-the-second data, confirm against your broker's live feed. Research platforms — including this one — are for analysis, not execution timing.
